And The Winners Are Announced...

At 8:10am on March 31st, 2008, the 2 winners of the 2008 Gay Days / Bud Light Ultimate DJ Contest were announced.
I was online with my friend Jonathan (who had originally told me about the contest) and my new-found friend I had made during the contest - DJ Francisco Guerra.


The winners were "The Dream Team" of DJ Andy Ajar and DJ Francisco Guerra.

I want to personally Thank EVERYONE who tuned in, voted, left comments and sent emails during the contest - I couldn't have done it without EACH and EVERY one of you!

I'm a HUGE fan of SYMMETRY - and as fate would have it - I was scheduled as the FINAL DJ to be heard in the contest - and if you remember - I was the FIRST DJ to have his set aired when the contest began on January 20th, 2008. So there is the SYMMETRY - First DJ heard and then the Final DJ to be heard... Before the schedule was even posted, I had already created my final set and had decided that I wanted to end my entire musical journey in the contest with a dance remake of Vanessa Williams' "Saved The Best For Last"...

Weird how that all worked out... huh?

During the final day of the contest, this comment was left on my profile by a good friend of mine - Traci...
(As I read it I was reduced to tears.... I can't thank her enough for her wonderful words - and EVERYONE else who showed me such an incredible amount of support during the contest!)

Legacy 
Some DJ's have the ablility to give you a good night of dancing. 
Others have the ability to take you on a journey with the expression of their music, and by doing so, leave a legacy. 
That's Andy.
DJ Ajar has something that transcends talent and ablity.
His music flows into your head and into your heart, and you can't help but express your gratitude by dancing. 
He transcends time with his music and can take you to a place where nothing else matters but the thumping in your chest and the music in your heart.
